AAUW BEAVER VALLEY BRANCH  “All about us”

The mission statement of AAUW is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy.

AAUW is the number one go-to organization when lawmakers, policy makers, educators, and the general public need statistics and research for a particular issue surrounding women and girls. AAUW (The American Association of University Women) was established in Washington, D.C. in 1881 and incorporated in 1889. Our branch (AAUW Beaver Valley Branch) was organized in 1930.

The Kitchen Tour Fundraiser has become synonymous with our branch and has been held annually on a Saturday in September since 2001 with the exception of years 2020 and 2021. Due to the pandemic, virtual fundraisers were held during those years. The traditional format is in-person tours of 5 home kitchens with a different food sampling at each and the Marketplace with vendors and other member-activities at Dutch Ridge Elementary School.

For more information about our organization, please visit this website and our Facebook page. When attending the Kitchen Tour, please visit the tables set up in the Marketplace including AAUW in Action, Public Policy, and Membership. Enjoy a discount on dues when you join at the Kitchen Tour and other events. Please like and follow us on Facebook at the Beaver Valley Branch to remain informed of our activities.

We are so grateful for your support which, in turn, enables us to continue to provide these activities for women and girls.
